Corrections Policy
Our commitment to factual accuracy, transparency, and accountability.
Statement of Accuracy
At Insight News, published by Verlix Co. Ltd., our core mission is to deliver truthful, verified, and unbiased news to our readers. We recognize our responsibility to ensure that all journalism we produce meets the highest standards of accuracy.
Our Commitment to Correcting Errors
Despite our rigorous editorial processes, errors can occasionally occur. When they do, we are committed to correcting them swiftly, clearly, and transparently.
Our policy is to correct factual errors as soon as they are identified and verified by our editorial board. We do not stealth-edit factual mistakes; instead, we explicitly note the correction so our audience understands what changed and why.
Types of Corrections
- Factual Errors: If an article misstates a fact (such as a date, name, number, or timeline), we will update the text and append a "Correction" note at the bottom of the article detailing the original error and the correct information.
- Clarifications: If the facts are technically correct but the phrasing may be misleading, we will rewrite the section and append a "Clarification" note.
- Retractions: In the rare event that an article's core premise is found to be fundamentally flawed or fabricated, the article may be removed or replaced with a prominent "Retraction" editor's note explaining the severe editorial failure.
- Updates: When a developing story is supplemented with new information, we generally mark the piece with "Updated" without necessarily issuing a formal correction, provided the original facts were correct at the time of publication based on the information available.
Report an Error
We rely on our readers to hold us accountable. If you spot a factual error, a misspelled name, or a misleading statement in any of our reports, please bring it to the attention of our editorial team immediately.
