The Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS) has granted individual taxpayers an additional month to submit their annual income tax returns.
The new deadline for filings is April 30, 2026, an extension from the previously stipulated March 31, 2026. Mr. Michael Ango, the Acting Executive Chairman of the FCT-IRS, indicated that this extension is part of strategic initiatives designed to strengthen the territory’s digital capabilities and improve the ease of compliance for taxpayers.
