The Federal High Court in Kaduna has adjourned the hearing of the bail application filed by former Kaduna State governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, until April 14th.
Presiding Judge Rilwanu Aikawa fixed the new date after carefully considering the arguments presented by both the defence and prosecution teams during proceedings on Wednesday.
Mr. El-Rufai was recently arraigned by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) on charges that have not been publicly detailed. This adjournment signifies that the former governor will remain in custody pending the court's final decision on his application for bail.
